How To Invest In Pinoy Stocks Like A Pro Without Doing It Full Time

One of my favorite movies of all time is “The 300”. It’s an epic war film.

There’s a scene there where King Leonidas (played by Gerald Butler) asked the volunteer village troops this famous question:

“What is your profession?”

Some of them answered “farmer”. Others said “blacksmith” or fisherman.

Then Leonidas turned to his 300 Spartan troops and said: “Spartans! what is your profession?”

They all shouted, AWOOH, AWOOOH! (you probably already know that. LOL. Popular line).

Leonidas showed why 1 Spartan soldier is worth 50+ part-time village wannabe fighters.

It’s because the Spartans have no other profession. They are full-time hardcore soldiers. Trained to kill and skilled in the art of warfare. Nothing else.

That is all that they do.

Here’s the lesson:

Many of us dabbling in the stock market are part-timer investors. Some of us are doctors, lawyers, engineers, office staff, accountants, etc

And no offense meant, our abilities/time/attention are divided between our main profession and investing.

But do you know there are people whose full-time job is to research stocks for a living?

They spend long hours everyday doing fundamental and technical analysis. They study trends, price action, company valuation etc

They are the Spartans of stock investing.

This is why it is smarter to leverage the research, reports and stock market findings of these professional investors.
